Ski Area: Savoie Independent
Alongside the famous ski areas of the Savoie and Tarentaise are some individual resorts that stand on their own such as Valmorel and La Rosiere.
These areas offer great skiing, often have satellite villages and stations but haven’t been “allocated” an area name by the tourist office. Don’t let the lack of an area name worry you, they all have plenty to offer and whilst some are very small such as Granier and Hery-sur-Ugine others again like Valmorel and La Rosiere have huge areas to ski and to enjoy.
Take some time to get to know these often quieter, less hectic resort that are still fantastic ski locations.
