Ski Area: Isere Independent

As with most regions of the Alps Isere has huge ski areas which are enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of visitors who flock for the skiing and snowboarding.

Often in the rush to “get there” the smaller resorts are overlooked. British journalists don’t know them so they don’t get written about and consequently the Brits don’t go there.

In the Isere there are many small resorts - some with just one lift! They are often worth more than a quick glance however.

Perhaps if skiing is important but not the only item on your agenda they often are also stunning summer locations for cycling, mountaineering and everything else you can do in the mountains.

Perhaps if the budget is a bit tight they are always cheaper than the bigger ski areas.

Perhaps if you prefer a different way to ski, more peaceful and at one with the mountains.
