Nestled in the fir trees of La Tania ski resort this semi detached ski chalet is located 120m from the piste with the village just a 5 minute stroll away making this is an ideally located chalet for both commercial and private use. Indeed it is currently used successfully by a tour operator but without doubt could be a superb family ski chalet with its myriad of of possibilities - e.g. distressed wood cladding, slate floors, enlargement of bedrooms....
The entrance to this traditional wooden chalet leads into a large boot room (with boot warmer) with plenty of storage space beyond. Upon opening the front door, you go straight into the spacious living area with its wood burning stove and under floor heating. Part of the open living area is a large equipped kitchen and eating area which access onto the terrace which gets the late afternoon sun and has stunning views of the mountains and valleys.
At the moment the chalet is set up for and leased to a tour operator, and is decorated and furnished accordingly, so it is practical and easy to maintain. The tour operator may be interested in continuing to rent if the buyer was inclined to follow up this option – rental figures available upon request. The 5 bedrooms are all a good size with built in wardrobes and ensuite facilities (3 shower and 2 baths) and some also have balconies. They all have plenty of light and good views.
Equally, with some redecoration, the creation of a master bedroom with its own dressing room and spacious wet room, this chalet could really be something else in terms of luxury. There are some fantastic views from the chalet and it would be an option to enlarge some of the windows to get the full benefit of this.
The location of this chalet is great – you can ski back to the chalet though the trees, and the main gondola is under a minute away on skis. La Tania is linked into the 600kms of on-piste skiing of the vast Three valleys area, and provides a wide range of possibilities to suit all levels. The centre is car free and has a really pleasant and restful feel – having said that if you popped your head into the Ski Lodge one evening you’d get quite a different impression!
Perhaps best suited to families, there is something here for everyone - fine dining and snacks, quiet bars, more lively apres ski bars, ski schools and a tourist office. Top features of this chalet:-

3. very good value compared with properties of similar ilk in other parts of the Courchevel resort;

Courchevel is a 20 minute drive from Moutiers – where trains arrive from London, Paris, Chambery and Lyon on a regular basis. The nearest airports are Geneva, Grenoble and Chambery which are all within a 2 hour drive.

Opened in 1990 and built as an Olympic village for the competitors of Albertville 1992, La Tania is the best kept secret of the Three Valleys ski area. La Tania is a super family friendly resort nestled amongst the spruce at 1400 metres altitude. The ski season runs from the second weekend in December all the way through until mid to late April with most of the runs down in to the village tree-lined and protected. Being part of the Three Valleys extensive network means La Tania benefits from huge investment in the resort, the lifts and snow making facilities. The modern resort is completely pedestrianised, and designed sympathetically to fit in with its surroundings, with many charming purpose built ski chalets and apartment buildings created in wood and stone. You’ll find the usual activities in winter and summer and many lovely restaurants (including the Michelin 1* Le Farcon) and fun bars and being only a 10 – 15 minutes drive (or hop on the ski-bus) to neighbouring Courchevel or Meribel you can take advantage of their facilities such as the climbing walls, large indoor swimming pools or ice-skating rinks for example
