Property Description

This is a project that requires VISION but it is definitely someone’s dream home in the mountains. Could it be you? Situated on 3 levels this cellar, barn and attic space would provide approx. 145 sq. m of habitable space with a small piece of land to the side of the property included in the sale .

Please note; the exact division of the property and the land have yet to be confirmed but this will be done in advance of any contracts being signed.

In effect the barn is one half of the owner’s property, the other half being their own home/holiday home.

The village of Longefoy is an authentic Savoyarde village that lies just 2 km from the ski village of Montalbert (1350 m) that links into all of La Plagne, Paradiski. The barn is located on the edge of the village and there are views across the village green/common to the mountains beyond; a truly lovely spot.

All services such as electricity and water are already on site and access is straightforward as a small road runs (and finishes) next to the property.

Longefoy the village has a sprinkling of amenities and it is a 15-minute drive to the valley town of Aime for a choice of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, doctors etc. The resort town of Bourg St Maurice is a further 15 minutes along the valley floor.

Just above Longefoy is the traditional, family friendly, ski village of Montalbert which offers fast chairlift links into all of La Plagne. The village offers a choice of shops, some lovely restaurants, and a couple of good bars . The tree lined slopes above the village offer sheltered skiing in bad weather and some great “between the pistes” skiing for those feeling a little more adventurous. Recent investment in snow cannons has done much to maintain the pistes down to the village.

As well as access to some fantastic skiing this is a lovely part of the world in the summer months. Walking, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, parapenting, canoeing, white water rafting and horseriding are all on offer. If that sounds exhausting then sit back, read a book and look at the fantastic views.

Plagne Montalbert

Resort Description

The ski village of Plagne Montalbert (1350m) is located in the Tarentaise valley on the la Plagne side of the huge PARADISKI ski area.
The ski slopes above the village are north facing and tree lined and hence keep their snow well. In recent years there has been considerable investment in artificial snow making facilities.
Access to the la Plagne ski area is via a chairlift from the village which takes you to 1600m. From this point a further chairlift takes you to Le Fornelet at 1970m. From here there is great skiing back to the village cruising through the tress or you can carry on via a further chairlift to the high altitude skiing above Aime La Plagne and Plagne Centre. In addition there are some excellent off piste routes in the Adrets valley and a choice of black runs off the back of Le Biolley.
Plagne Montalbert has retained its rustic village charm and is a great base for mixed parties and families. The slopes come down right into the village itself, there is a good selection of shops and restaurants and a few good bars. Prices are reasonable for this part of the world without the price premium to be paid in some of the “trendier” ski villages.
Very popular with British and French clients Montalbert offers a variety of accommodation from small studios and apartments to newer build, more contemporary, apartments and individual chalets. There are one or two older chalets that have either been renovated or are in need of renovation. Just below Montalbert the village of Longefoy offers an authentic mountain village “vibe” with a further choice of older properties.
