An excellent chalet in a lovely village location with access to all of La Plagne, Les Arcs, Paradiski.


 


The accommodation is over three levels.


The ground floor is approximately 93 sq. m and comprises; an entrance lobby, ski lockers, storage room, two bedrooms with en suite shower room and access to the terrace as well as the superb indoor HOT TUB, SAUNA and SHOWER ROOM—an excellent facility to soothe those aching limbs after a day on the slopes.


On the first floor, 90 sq. m plus 32 sq. m of balconies, there is a living room with fireplace, open plan dining area with sliding doors to the balcony, fully fitted kitchen and a bedroom with en suite shower room.


The second floor is approx. 95 sq. m including 32 sq. m that is below 1m, 80. There are 5 bedrooms on this floor, 4 of which have an en suite shower room and another with an en suite bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have access to a private balcony.


PLEASE NOTE: the chalet has been designed so that it would be a straightforward job to remove one or two dividing walls if the new owners wished to create larger bedrooms or a master bedroom.


 


Externally there is parking for 4 cars, a machine room for the hot tub installation and a small terrace area. as well as the balconies.


Montalbert is a lovely village retaining a rustic charm. The runs above the village are tree lined and offer great sheltered skiing in bad weather. There are a couple of black runs off the back of Aime 2000 and some great off piste to challenge the more adventurous skiers. Don’t forget to stop off at Le Forperet restaurant just above the village; one of La Plagne’s best on piste stops. A series of chairlifts link Montalbert with all of high altitude La Plagne whilst the Vanoise Express cable car link to Les Arcs has created Paradiski, one of the world’s great ski areas.


Montalbert offers a choice of cozy restaurants, good bars a small supermarket and all the ski shops and services one would expect in a ski village. It is a winning combination of village charm linked in to extensive, high altitude skiing..


In summer there are a host of activities on offer including walking, cycling, mountain biking, canoeing,white water rafting and parapenting..


Ski resorts such as Val d’Isère, Tignes, La Rosiere, Sainte Foy, Courchevel and Meribel are easily accessible by car as are the lovely tourist towns of Bourg St Maurice, Chambery and Annecy.


 


Travel Information.


By air; the nearest airports are Chambery, Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon.


By rail; the nearest station is at Aime, some 15 minutes by car or taxi. In winter a direct Eurostar service runs to Aime.


Self-drive; it is an approx. 10 hour drive from the channel ports.

Resort Description

The ski village of Plagne Montalbert (1350m) is located in the Tarentaise valley on the la Plagne side of the huge PARADISKI ski area.
The ski slopes above the village are north facing and tree lined and hence keep their snow well. In recent years there has been considerable investment in artificial snow making facilities.
Access to the la Plagne ski area is via a chairlift from the village which takes you to 1600m. From this point a further chairlift takes you to Le Fornelet at 1970m. From here there is great skiing back to the village cruising through the tress or you can carry on via a further chairlift to the high altitude skiing above Aime La Plagne and Plagne Centre. In addition there are some excellent off piste routes in the Adrets valley and a choice of black runs off the back of Le Biolley.
Plagne Montalbert has retained its rustic village charm and is a great base for mixed parties and families. The slopes come down right into the village itself, there is a good selection of shops and restaurants and a few good bars. Prices are reasonable for this part of the world without the price premium to be paid in some of the “trendier” ski villages.
Very popular with British and French clients Montalbert offers a variety of accommodation from small studios and apartments to newer build, more contemporary, apartments and individual chalets. There are one or two older chalets that have either been renovated or are in need of renovation. Just below Montalbert the village of Longefoy offers an authentic mountain village “vibe” with a further choice of older properties.
