A good sized studio for sale in central Tignes Val Claret with 24m2 of space, a balcony, ski locker and separate storage room. This studio would make a great ski property for someone looking for a getaway in one of the greatest ski areas in France, the Espace Killy. It is equally an interesting investment opportunity as it has been successfully rented out for the whole season recently.
Tignes offers so much and has so many services and facilities. To start with, the skiing is immense. The Espace Killy as a whole is over 300kms of piste and you will absolutely never tire of the endless off-piste. On the edge of the Vanoise National Park there are some amazing itineraries for the experienced skier and with a reliable snow record, being at high altitude, Tignes and the Espace Killy has a long winter season from the end of November until the beginning of May; before and after all the other resorts in the area open and close!
As well as this, the glacier in Tignes is open during the summer and off-season. There are, in fact, only a few times during the year where you will not be able to get access to the slopes! If you would like to try a different activity during the long winter season, there is lots to do to keep the most enthusiastic sports person interested. Try ice-diving in the Tignes Lake whether you are a beginner or advanced diver, it is supposed to be truly captivating. How about mountain biking on snow? Not only a sport for the summer peaks now you can get supervision, bike and protective equipment and zoom down the piste after the skiers have gone for their apres-ski! Other sports include ski-joring, which is skiing behind a horse and they will go as fast as you want! Ice-skating, snow-shoeing or dog sledding for the more fainthearted.
Summer months are as active or relaxed as you want. The lake comes alive and you can rest and repose on the shores of the lake soaking up the sun or you can go windsurfing or take dinghies out under instruction. There is a great leisure complex if the weather doesn't hold out and of course the fabulous high altitude golf course. There is climbing, cycling, beach sports, horse riding, tennis, kids activity and adventure zones and anything you could actually ever want to try!
The bars and restaurants of Tignes, I think, can rival any resort. It has a huge selection with great depth and variation in cuisine, cost and style. Further to this there are some great shops to help you spend, spend, spend! Clothing, opticians, homewares, souvenirs, photographers and their stores, boutique foods stores and supermarkets to mention some.
Val d'Isere is only 10-15 minutes drive further up the col and from here you can drive or cycle up the Col du l'Iseran to the breathtaking Maurienne valley which makes a beautiful excursion.
Around 35 minutes drive from the train station Bourg Saint Maurice, Tignes is just over 2 hour transfer to the airports of Geneva, Lyon and Grenoble.

As one of the best known ski resorts in the world, Val d’Isere is a winter paradise. Linked with Tignes it makes the enormous ski area Espace Killy. There is fantastic off piste skiing on Col d’Isere and more gentle slopes for beginners between Tignes and Val d’Isere. Tignes boasts a modern funicular which will take you to the Grande Motte glacier (3030metres) which offers summer and winter skiing. Val d’Isere has strict building regulations with an emphasis on wood and stone….. giving an air of exclusivity, it’s a pedestrian friendly resort, made up of several hamlets, each linked by a transport service.
