Property Description

A GREAT HOUSE OFFERING 4 BEDROOM OWNER'S ACCOMMODATION AS WELL AS SEPARATE 1 AND 2 BEDROOM APARTMENTS..

This house is a fine example of how much more you can get for your money by moving a little way from the ski resort villages . It offers spacious, 4 bedroom, family accommodation as well as separate 1 and 2 bedroom apartments . The owner's currently rent these out to supplement their income; equally they could make great additional accommodation for family and friends. The house is well looked after and  nicely decorated.

There is a nice garden, mainly laid to lawn , terrace , baconies to the front of the property, driveway with parking for 3 cars , cave for storage of personal items, and a large garage. Lvely views over the valley to the mountains of La Plagne.

NICELY MAINTAINED,SPACIOUS HOUSE FOR LESS THAN MANY APARTMENTS IN RESORT

The ski resorts of the Paradiski are accessed in around 20 minutes drive – Montchavin, Montalbert and La Plagne are all facing the property on the opposite side of the valley.  Alternatively you could drive 15 minutes to Bourg Saint Maurice where the Arc en Ciel funicular whisks you up the mountain to Les Arcs 1600.  Either way,  Paradiski is a colossal ski area with over 425kms of piste.  One of the world's great ski areas. The 3 Valleys, Val D'Isere/Tignes and resorts such as Ste Foy and La Rosiere are all easily accessible by car.

There is a separate , private entrance to the owner's own accommodation on the 1st floor.  The first double bedroom is off the entrance hall and there is useful storage space under the staircase.  Originally there was a door through to what is now the larger apartment, so this could easily be re-opened.  The stairs are made out of local marble and lead upstairs to three good sized double bedrooms, all with great views from the large windows.  The bedrooms share a family bathroom with bath, washbasin and bidet, there is a separate WC.  The kitchen and living, dining room are at the front of the property.  The kitchen is any bakers dream!  With two ovens and an island unit, lots of storage, large American style fridge and dishwasher.  It has double doors that lead on to a sunny balcony, the perfect spot for coffee.

The ground floor, at the front of the property, is split in to a 1 bedroom apartment and a cave/storage area.  This floor is from the original farmhouse that the house was built on so the vaulted ceilings remain intact.  You enter the apartment from the terrace in to the open plan kitchen and living area and go through to the double bedroom which has a shower room and WC off it.  Next door also has a vaulted ceiling, this is currently being used as the cave/ storage, but  could be developed in to a 1 bedroom apartment.

There is an external staircase up from the terrace to the first floor apartment.  This floor could be opened up to become part of the owner's accommodation but is currently a two, double bedroom apartment , with a separate living dining room and kitchen and a nice sized bathroom with bath, bidet, handbasin and separate WC.

The entire house is laid to either oak floorboards or tiles with fresh wallpaper or painted walls.  New hot water cylinders are being installed and the house has electric heating throughout.

A matter of minutes to Aime and only 10 minutes to Moutiers, the situation is ideal.  The area is accessed by any of the international airports of Chambery, Grenoble, Lyon or Geneva, all around a 2 hour transfer( a fair bit less from Chambery)  There is a train station in Aime which is served by the TGV and local services as well as Eurostar during the winter season.

For self drivers it is an approx. 10 hour drive from the main channel ports.

La Plagne

Resort Description

La Plagne is one of France’s largest and most popular ski resorts. It is also extremely popular with British skiers and boarders who make up around 35% of the visitors to this great resort. With some 225 km. of piste, continual upgrading of the lift facilities and slopes for all standards of skier there is something for everybody. If this is not enough for you the amazing Vanoise Express double decker gondola link to Les Arcs opens up another 200km. of slopes. The joint La Plagne, Les Arcs, PARADISKI ski domain is one of the world’s truly great fully linked ski areas. La Plagne is not just one resort but a collection of ski villages, 6 at high altitude and 4 further down the mountain, each with their own shops, restaurants, bars and ski schools. At high altitude the 6 villages are; Aime La Plagne (2100m),Belle Plagne(2050m),Plagne Villages/Soleil(2050m),Plagne Bellecote(1930m),Plagne Centre(1970m) and Plagne 1800(1800m). Of these the pitched roof chalet style of Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages/Soleil and Plagne 1800 are the most attractive to British eyes. However the other three are not without their fans and offer ski in ski out convenience and some great value accommodation. The original la Plagne, Plagne Centre, is undergoing a considerable facelift and next year work begins on the indoor shopping and restaurant areas. Lower down the mountain there are more traditional villages. Les Coches at 1450 m has been purpose built in a pleasing chalet style and recent lift improvements have transformed access to the higher slopes. Champagny en Vanoise (1250m) and, in particular, Montchavin(1250m) and Montalbert(1350m) have retained their rustic farming charm and have a strong following amongst British clients. Between them the villages of La Plagne offer something for everyone. There are wide, cruising blue slopes for the less confident or those “hot chocolate” skiers amongst you with tough blacks and a wealth of off piste for the stronger /more adventurous skier. Boarders have not been forgotten with a variety of Terrain parks on offer. Accommodation varies from simple, great value, ski in ski out studios and apartments to luxury new build apartments and chalets.
