This is a very nice updated and refurbished TWO BEDROOM, HIGH ALTITUDE, SNOWSURE apartment in a great SKI IN SKI OUT location.
The current owner successfully rents it out on a weekly basis and has much repeat business; always a good sign.
For winter season 2009/2010 the rental earned was 10,200 euros with lets via a local agency and directly via the owner's own website; these figures have been provided by the current owner.
Located just above Plagne Centre on the ground floor of a small residence the apartment is in a quiet location (parking never a problem outside the residence I am told) and yet an easy 5 minute walk into the heart of the ski village for a wide choice of bars, shops and restaurants..
With a good sized balcony, ski locker , cave ,for storage of personal items, and ELECTRIC SHUTTERS to all windows as an added security precaution ,this is a very nice apartment for 4-6 people..
For those of you who know the resort you can ski right past/to the residence by taking the left hand turn/blue piste to Plagne 1800 just above Plagne Centre on the Aime 2000 side of the village.
Plagne Centre, the original of the La Plagne high altitude villages, is situated just below 2000m at the foot of a huge snow-sure bowl Nobody could ever call Plagne Centre pretty but it is very convenient and is undergoing some major renovation and upgrading which are giving it a much smarter appearance . It offers a big choice of bars, restaurants and shops whilst a free shuttle bus service links Centre to Plagne 1800 and Plagne Bellecote . .
La Plagne has invested heavily in new lifts and upgrading existing infrastructure and it remains the consumate intermediate skier’s resort; even early intermediates can get about and explore the whole ski area.
As well as wide-open pistes in the main bowl there are some lovely runs through the trees to the lower villages of Montalbert and Montchavin-Les Coches whilst the south facing Champagny sector offers long runs and some amazing views. The black runs and off piste off the Bellecote glacier, including the renowned North Face, offer a challenge for the more advanced skiers amongst you.
The apartment is to be found on the ground floor of a small residence with the cave and ski locker on the same floor.
On entering the apartment there is an entrance hallway with nice laminate flooring. Off to the left there is a nicely tiled bathroom with bath, overhead shower, WC and washbasin .
The main living accommodation comprises a good sized lounge/diner and kitchen.
The kitchen has twin ceramic hotplate, oven fridge and dishwasher. There is a good sized pine table in the dining area whilst the lounge has a large sofa, TV cabinet and large windows.. As a security precaution all windows are fitted with ELECTRIC SHUTTERS; an excellent idea.
There are two bedrooms, both carpeted . One is a double with good built in storage, the other a double/family room currently fitted with twin sets of bunk beds.
A balcony off the bedrooms offers great views over Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800 and up to to La Grande Rochette..
A very nice apartment in a great SKI IN SKI OUT location.

La Plagne is one of France’s largest and most popular ski resorts. It is also extremely popular with British skiers and boarders who make up around 35% of the visitors to this great resort. With some 225 km. of piste, continual upgrading of the lift facilities and slopes for all standards of skier there is something for everybody. If this is not enough for you the amazing Vanoise Express double decker gondola link to Les Arcs opens up another 200km. of slopes. The joint La Plagne, Les Arcs, PARADISKI ski domain is one of the world’s truly great fully linked ski areas. La Plagne is not just one resort but a collection of ski villages, 6 at high altitude and 4 further down the mountain, each with their own shops, restaurants, bars and ski schools. At high altitude the 6 villages are; Aime La Plagne (2100m),Belle Plagne(2050m),Plagne Villages/Soleil(2050m),Plagne Bellecote(1930m),Plagne Centre(1970m) and Plagne 1800(1800m). Of these the pitched roof chalet style of Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages/Soleil and Plagne 1800 are the most attractive to British eyes. However the other three are not without their fans and offer ski in ski out convenience and some great value accommodation. The original la Plagne, Plagne Centre, is undergoing a considerable facelift and next year work begins on the indoor shopping and restaurant areas. Lower down the mountain there are more traditional villages. Les Coches at 1450 m has been purpose built in a pleasing chalet style and recent lift improvements have transformed access to the higher slopes. Champagny en Vanoise (1250m) and, in particular, Montchavin(1250m) and Montalbert(1350m) have retained their rustic farming charm and have a strong following amongst British clients. Between them the villages of La Plagne offer something for everyone. There are wide, cruising blue slopes for the less confident or those “hot chocolate” skiers amongst you with tough blacks and a wealth of off piste for the stronger /more adventurous skier. Boarders have not been forgotten with a variety of Terrain parks on offer. Accommodation varies from simple, great value, ski in ski out studios and apartments to luxury new build apartments and chalets.
