This is a lovely chalet currently run as a chambre d’hote with 5 en suite guest bedrooms. It offers some 360 sq. m of habitable space and is completely fit for purpose with all the guest bedrooms on a separate floor. There is a huge garage, plenty of room for parking, a fantastic terrace and amazing views over to the mountains of La Plagne and Les Arcs.
The chalet is situated just above the village of La Cote d’Aime on the south facing sunny side of the valley; this makes it a great all year round location. In winter the owners run a minibus service to the slopes of La Plagne with the lovely villages of Montalbert and Montchavin as well as the La Roche chairlift on the way up to La Plagne being the main access points for the skiing; approximately 20-25 minutes by car/minibus
For independent travellers the slopes of Les Arcs as well as other resorts such as The Three Valleys, La Rosiere, Sainte Foy and Val d’Isère/Tignes are all easily accessible by car.
In summer the area is an absolute haven for walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers.
Entering via the terrace at the front of the chalet there is a huge lounge/ dining /kitchen living space as well as a separate office. The sitting area is extremely cosy with TV and fireplace. The dining table can seat up to 20 people and there is a fully equipped open plan kitchen with range cooker etc. There is a separate WC on this level for guest use as well as a laundry room. The current owners have their own bedroom on this level with an en suite bathroom with shower, double washbasins and WC.
All the guest bedrooms are upstairs and are all named after ski resorts. There are some 5-guest bedrooms all with en suite shower room and WC. All the bedrooms are at least large double rooms, a couple are set up as family rooms and two bedrooms have balconies. These are very spacious rooms.
Going upstairs again there is a private area that the owners began to develop as a separate apartment for their son . This could easily be an apartment for the owners or developed as a big games area or conference/ meeting area. There is a big living area, separate bathroom, balcony and huge storage under the eaves in the loft space.
The chalet has a huge double garage ( approx 90 sq. m) with space for 4 or 5 cars as well as plentiful outside parking. There is a cave/reserve used for freezers/ wine storage, a room for coats, jackets etc, storage for ski equipment, and bikes , storage for garden equipment and boot warmers . A small room has been turned into a mini gym.
The views over to the valley to the slopes of La Plagne and Les Arcs are simply stunning.
La Cote d’Aime is situated on the sunny, south facing side of the valley. As well as being close to world class skiing the area is a haven in spring, summer and autumn for walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers.
The Vanoise Express cable car link between La Plagne and Les Arcs has formed Paradiski; with some 425 km of piste this is one of the world’s great ski areas.
The market town of Aime is just over 5 minutes away by car and offers all the usual local amenities with a choice of shops and restaurants, a couple of café bars, doctors, pharmacy, petrol station and its own station .

La Plagne is one of France’s largest and most popular ski resorts. It is also extremely popular with British skiers and boarders who make up around 35% of the visitors to this great resort. With some 225 km. of piste, continual upgrading of the lift facilities and slopes for all standards of skier there is something for everybody. If this is not enough for you the amazing Vanoise Express double decker gondola link to Les Arcs opens up another 200km. of slopes. The joint La Plagne, Les Arcs, PARADISKI ski domain is one of the world’s truly great fully linked ski areas. La Plagne is not just one resort but a collection of ski villages, 6 at high altitude and 4 further down the mountain, each with their own shops, restaurants, bars and ski schools. At high altitude the 6 villages are; Aime La Plagne (2100m),Belle Plagne(2050m),Plagne Villages/Soleil(2050m),Plagne Bellecote(1930m),Plagne Centre(1970m) and Plagne 1800(1800m). Of these the pitched roof chalet style of Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages/Soleil and Plagne 1800 are the most attractive to British eyes. However the other three are not without their fans and offer ski in ski out convenience and some great value accommodation. The original la Plagne, Plagne Centre, is undergoing a considerable facelift and next year work begins on the indoor shopping and restaurant areas. Lower down the mountain there are more traditional villages. Les Coches at 1450 m has been purpose built in a pleasing chalet style and recent lift improvements have transformed access to the higher slopes. Champagny en Vanoise (1250m) and, in particular, Montchavin(1250m) and Montalbert(1350m) have retained their rustic farming charm and have a strong following amongst British clients. Between them the villages of La Plagne offer something for everyone. There are wide, cruising blue slopes for the less confident or those “hot chocolate” skiers amongst you with tough blacks and a wealth of off piste for the stronger /more adventurous skier. Boarders have not been forgotten with a variety of Terrain parks on offer. Accommodation varies from simple, great value, ski in ski out studios and apartments to luxury new build apartments and chalets.
