La Rosiere is a great family resort with a loyal UK following; the resort is linked to La Thuile in Italy to form the joint Espace St Bernardo ski area.

A  VERY VERY NICE CHALET.

You enter the chalet on what is in fact the top floor; a hallway provides plenty of space to leave coats, jackets shoes etc. Off this there is the master double bedroom with built in storage, en suite shower cubicle and washbasin and a balcony offering great views? There is a separate WC and you can access the integral garage from the hallway.

Moving downstairs there is the main living space with a big lounge, diner and open plan kitchen—a very nice living space indeed . A log burner and wooden floors all add to the chalet ambiance whilst some of the detailing and finishing is first class. A great balcony off the living area offers plenty of outside entertaining space and an opportunity to soak up the sunshine---and here we go again—enjoy what is a truly stunning view.

The kitchen is fully equipped, and nicely fitted. A”cellier” offers plentiful storage space and houses the freezer and all the electrics.

On the lower floor there are two further double bedrooms one with its own outside terrace. A shower room and a separate WC serve these two bedrooms. Finally there is a big cave for storing personal belongings, equipment , garden furniture etc  .

A  FIRST CLASS CHALET.

La Rosiere is a popular family resort known locally for its good snow record and exceptionally sunny location. It offers slopes for all levels of skiers as well as easily accessible off piste which does not get tracked out as it does in some of the larger resorts. The resort is linked with La Thuile in Italy and the joint area provides plenty of skiing with heli skiing available from just over the border.

The resort has been built in an attractive chalet style blending new developments with the older more traditional buildings  and there is a  good choice of shops , bars and restaurants.

In summer the whole Petit St Bernard pass area ( the road is a piste in the winter) is a walking , mountain biking and cycling paradise with the route over the pass to and from Italy popular  with the energetic and less energetic who enjoy what is a lovely mountain pass drive.

Self –drive; it is an approx 10-11 hour drive from the main channel ports.

By rail; the nearest station is at Bourg ST Maurice approx half an hour away by car; a direct Eurostar service runs to Bourg in the ski season.

By air; the main airports serving the region are Chambery, Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon.
