Situated in the ski resort of Le Praz Courchevel 1300 in a pleasant, quiet location from where you can walk to the charming village centre and the two ski lifts, Foret & Praz, in a couple of minutes. This is a very pleasant ski apartment with a separate kitchen, large lounge/dining area which opens out on to the balcony giving the room a light and open feel and yet with its open fireplace it also has a warm and cosy atmosphere. This is a very practical apartment to ski from, you can ski back to the door, you just have to jump out of your skis to cross the village road and it provides all you could need for a great ski holiday base. The bedrooms are small but functional, one double and one bunk/single room providing a comfortable base. The bathroom has a full length bath and there is a separate WC. The main living area is full of light and you can appreciate the view from the comfort of your armchair or from the balcony. It even has a open fireplace in the corner which just adds to the welcoming feeling this apartment has. The hallway and corridor provide a great deal of storage space and also lets the light from the lounge to reach the rest of the apartment. In addition you have a cave (storage area) and a ski locker on the ground floor and a garage space. TRAVEL to your ski apartment; Airports: Geneva Airport, Lyon and Grenoble airport are all approximately between 2hrs and 2hrs30 away. Chambery Airport is approx 1hr30 by taxi or airport transfer. Train: The TGV stops at Moutiers which is approx a 30mins transfer to the resort. You can use companies like Mountain Express to take you between any of the major airports or train stations and the resorts of the Three Valleys. MORE ABOUT LE PRAZ: At the foot of the Courchevel ski area and above St Bon Tarentaise sits the delightful and original farming village of Le Praz, also known as the ski resort of Courchevel 1300. Le Praz boasts a good selection of lively bars, creperies and fine restaurants including " Le Praz is La Table de Mon Grand-Père in Hotel Les Peupliers ", one of my favourites. There is also the Darbello and the S Courch that does excellent pizzas, host live bands and shows all the major sporting events. Courchevel Le Praz, truly Savoyard in character, is definitely the prettiest of the four Courchevel ski resorts. A quaint village square, rustic chalets and narrow cobbled streets create a traditional French village ambience. It has a small lake which is frozen in winter making a stunning backdrop for the huge fireworks competition held here each year along with many music festivals both summer and winter. At the back of the lake is a huge ski jump which is used on the national and international competition circuit which along with walking, horse riding, parapointing, painting, golf, flying, climbing and many other superb mountain activities brings life beyond skiing to this village. For skiing Le Praz is excellently situated with two télécabine lifts, the Praz and Foret running from the centre. The Praz télécabine lift takes you directly into the centre of Courchevel 1850. The Foret télécabine lift takes you up towards the summit of "La Loze" at 2196m, giving easy access to the wonderful skiing of Courchevel / La Tania or the Meribel valley. Skiing to Le Praz is a breathtaking experience in itself. Tree lined pistes, some of the prettiest in the three valleys, lead you to the village of Le Praz. The jockey’s black run into Le Praz is quite something and a superb challenges to those who like to ski a bit closer but not too close to the edge. The traditionally good snow, north facing slopes and extensive network of snow cannons enable you to ski back to the village throughout the season, but regardless if the piste gets a little scratchy you can always catch the bubble down. SKI AREA The Courchevel ski area links in to the massive 3 Valleys ski area. From the foot of the Gondola lift you are 2 lifts away from either Méribel or Courchevel 1850.
