The studio is successfully rented out by the current owners who are in the process of carrying out some renovation work. New carpeting in the hallway and living area, some new kitchen units, refreshing the bathroom and renovating the balcony have all been done making this an even better value ski accommodation. With the ability to divide the lounge into two sleeping areas this really is a very nice , HIGH ALTITUDE ,SNOWSURE accommodation. There is a ski locker on the ground floor of the residence—also a restaurant and a ski hire shop—very handy.
Plagne Bellecote (1930m) is the best located of la Plagne’s high altitude villages if you want to explore the amazing 425km of piste available in the joint La Plagne, Les Arcs, PARADISKI ski area. Just a (very) short ski from the front door you have the 8 man Arpette chairlift towards Montchavin-Les Coches/Les Arcs, the 6 man Blanchets chairlift towards Champagny, the Colosses chairlift towards Plagne Centre as well as the Roche de Mio bubble; an amazing choice of lifts. Plagne Bellecote has its own half pipe with a boardercross course just above the village. The village retains a very French atmosphere and has a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants. The bubble to Belle Plagne operates in the evening whilst a free shuttle bus runs every half hour to Plagne Centre. A very convenient location even if the architecture is not to everybody’s taste. There is free outside parking just outside the village and underground parking is available; this ensures that the commercial heart of the village remains car free. Plagne Bellecote offers some of La Plagne’s best value and most convenient high altitude accommodation. Recommended for value seeking keen skiers.
The studio is on the top floor of the residence and there is a lift. There is a small entrance hallway with a separate WC and a bathroom—nicely tiled—with bath, overhead shower and washbasin just off this . Walking through you have an L shaped lounge/diner which is “divisible”; a sliding partition allows you to divide the area into two separate sleeping areas. You can get to the WC and bathroom without walking through the other area—an important point. Off the living area there is a balcony with views up towards Belle Plagne and the Roche de Mio peak A small kitchen also has a door to the balcony; it is equipped with dishwasher, fridge, mini oven and 3 ring hob. All in all—a great studio.

La Plagne is one of France’s largest and most popular ski resorts. It is also extremely popular with British skiers and boarders who make up around 35% of the visitors to this great resort. With some 225 km. of piste, continual upgrading of the lift facilities and slopes for all standards of skier there is something for everybody. If this is not enough for you the amazing Vanoise Express double decker gondola link to Les Arcs opens up another 200km. of slopes. The joint La Plagne, Les Arcs, PARADISKI ski domain is one of the world’s truly great fully linked ski areas. La Plagne is not just one resort but a collection of ski villages, 6 at high altitude and 4 further down the mountain, each with their own shops, restaurants, bars and ski schools. At high altitude the 6 villages are; Aime La Plagne (2100m),Belle Plagne(2050m),Plagne Villages/Soleil(2050m),Plagne Bellecote(1930m),Plagne Centre(1970m) and Plagne 1800(1800m). Of these the pitched roof chalet style of Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages/Soleil and Plagne 1800 are the most attractive to British eyes. However the other three are not without their fans and offer ski in ski out convenience and some great value accommodation. The original la Plagne, Plagne Centre, is undergoing a considerable facelift and next year work begins on the indoor shopping and restaurant areas. Lower down the mountain there are more traditional villages. Les Coches at 1450 m has been purpose built in a pleasing chalet style and recent lift improvements have transformed access to the higher slopes. Champagny en Vanoise (1250m) and, in particular, Montchavin(1250m) and Montalbert(1350m) have retained their rustic farming charm and have a strong following amongst British clients. Between them the villages of La Plagne offer something for everyone. There are wide, cruising blue slopes for the less confident or those “hot chocolate” skiers amongst you with tough blacks and a wealth of off piste for the stronger /more adventurous skier. Boarders have not been forgotten with a variety of Terrain parks on offer. Accommodation varies from simple, great value, ski in ski out studios and apartments to luxury new build apartments and chalets.
