FLUMET
Resort Description
Flumet is at the heart of Val d’Arly Mont-Blanc, and area of outstanding beauty, and the ski resort of FLUMET-St Nicolas la Chapelle settles into the landscape with harmony and is a charming spread of chalets. It offers the authentic charm of an unspoilt Savoie village resort and seems to be a resort that has achieved a balance between providing thoroughly modern facilities whilst preserving its rustic charm. The village is surrounded by forests, grazing meadows – great for powder turns, natural water sources and beautiful rock formations.
Wherever you stay in FLUMET, in the centre of the village (1.5km from the ski runs), at the foot of the resort’s lifts, or even at St NICOLAS la Chapelle (3km from the ski runs), you can use the FREE shuttle buses, provided by the ski lift company, which run in continuous rotation.
Flumet Saint Nicolas la Chapelle lies at the very heart of the Espace Diamant which opened in 2005 and is
one of Savoie’s newest ski areas. It links the resorts of: Flumet Saint Nicolas la Chapelle, Crest Voland Cohennoz, Notre Dame de Bellecombe, Praz sur Arly, Les Saisies/Hauteluce. The Espace Diamant ski area has 185 km of slopes set against the fabulous backdrop of Mont Blanc and is the 8th largest ski area in the Alps. And don’t forget you have Megeve 15mins up the road which opens up a whole new ski area to play in.
