The apartment is SKI in SKI out, with just a short ski down to the choice of the Paquis or the Chaudannes chair lifts and Ski back to the apartment is possible from the Toviere ski terrain.
Tignes is a winter sports haven, offering everything from skiing, snowboarding, ski touring, to piste basher rides, skidoo ing, a flight in a microlight, snow tubing and even ice diving (not for the faint hearted). There are many restaurants and bars to suit all tastes (and budgets) both on the pistes as well as in and around the resort. All cuisines and ages are catered for.
Summer in Tignes is also a real draw to activity seekers. You can enjoy water activities on the lake such as Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Canoeing, Pedal’eau, Zorbing, and extreme Water sliding. Beach volleyball and soccer, basketball, paragliding, bike park, via ferrata and mountain biking with many chair lifts converted with a bike carrier to give you an “up” lift. There is a golf driving range, club house and restaurant and an 18 hole golf course, the highest in Europe at 2100m.
The apartment is set in a residence away from the main roads. It has all amenities on the doorstep including a mini-market, restaurants, ski sports equipment shops. The apartment is West facing, having views towards the ski slopes, with the master bedroom leading out to the balcony facing East.
Enter the apartment on the 2nd floor into the wide hallway where there is an abundance of storage facilities. The hall leads into the open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge area.
The fitted kitchen is modern and stylish. It has an integrated dishwasher, washing machine, electric hob and oven, along with generous storage cupboards and a tiled floor.
The dining space joins the kitchen to the lounge, where there is a comfortable seating area and a fireplace. The floor is laminate wood. The room is light and airy having double aspect windows.
The lounge leads out onto the Westerly facing balcony through glass patio doors with breathe taking views over towards the Grande Motte Glacier.
The master bedroom leads off the hallway and offers a large fitted wardrobe, wall uplighters and a balcony through glass patio doors with an Easterly aspect. There is an en suite bathroom which comprises a ½ size bath with shower over decorated with mosaic tiles, a ceramic sink, a mirror cabinet, WC and bidet.
There is a family bathroom off the main open plan living area which has recently been modernised, consisting of a full size bath with 2 showers over, tiled walls, sink with vanity cabinet.
A separate WC has a radiator, extractor and shelving.
At the end of the hallway, you find the second bedroom, which is a good size and currently houses 2 sets of bunk beds. It has glass patio doors that lead onto the same balcony as from the lounge, West facing.
The heating is supplied by water fed radiators throughout the apartment.
Certain parts of the apartment are still in need of some modernisation and restoration, however, this is reflected in the attractive price.
There is a private ski locker and cave that belong to the apartment.
Communal car parking for approximately 120 cars is available immediately outside and near to the apartment and there is a secure public underground car park very close by.

Tignes-Val d'Isère Ski Area
The legendary ski area of Espace Killy has over 300kms of marked piste and endless off-piste options - some of the most varied and exciting skiing you can find! The ski area links the two resorts of Val d'Isere and Tignes.
Val d'Isere sits at approximately 1800 metres and is a truly modern alpine village. The pretty old town of snow filled streets and Savoyard stone buildings is home to the original village church built in 1664. The resort centre is lively and vibrant, with shops, restaurants and bars to suit any budget and taste, lining the wide, spacious main-street.
Every season, during summer and winter, Val d'Isere hosts all sorts of events - from Savoyard festivals or fayres show-casing local produce such as cheeses, cured meats or lace. International sporting events like the Tour de France and the World Ski Championships often stage an event here. Music festivals are often hosted during the summer and winter 2010 welcomes a stage of the World Snow Polo Masters Series!
The villages of Tignes are a little further down the valley towards Bourg St Maurice. Just like Val d'Isere, the ski area boasts wide, cruisey red runs, snow-parks for those who want to play and show off their tricks and quieter beginner areas where you can find your "skis" and build confidence - and of course immense off-piste itineraries, so much space you are bound to find untracked snow!
The lively resort centre is a real haven for those looking for energetic après-ski and night-life - there are lots of bars, cafés, restaurants and night-clubs to entertain until the early hours. During the day-time there is an equal abundance of activity - the resort is just as regarded as a summer resort as it is a winter snow sports centre. You will find a superb 18-hole golf course, organised activities on the lake, skiing on the glacier, beach volleyball and football and the usual mountain biking, walking and horse-riding.
Tignes Ski Resort
Tignes and Val d’Isere, combined, make up the world renowned ski area of Espace Killy. Tignes itself offers all year round skiing with the Grande Motte glacier, altitude of 3030 metres, being served by a modern funicular. Val d’Isere offers expert off piste skiing on the beautiful Col d’Iseran. The other 2 sectors of the linked area have more gentle runs, perfect for beginners.
Tignes is a purpose built resort. The centre is Le Lac, which was the original village. Recent remodelling work has improved its appearance dramatically. Val Claret is situated 2kms higher and is where you will find the Grande Motte funicular. A lesser known part of Tignes is Le Breviere, which lies at 1550 metres. Situated next to a picturesque lake it has maintained its small alpine village atmosphere.
As well as skiing and snowboarding, Tignes offers numerous other activities, including ice skating, snow shoeing, ice climbing and quad biking. Sports shops, supermarkets and bakers are spread throughout the resort. And there are no shortage of bars and restaurants. Le Lac is the heart of Après Ski drinks whilst the most atmospheric places to eat can be found in Val Claret.
The Eurostar offers a regular service to Bourg Saint Maurice which is at the foot of Tignes, from here a taxi transfer can be arranged. Local Airports include Lyon (approx 140km), Geneva (130km), Chambery (80km) and Grenoble (120km).
