This modern chalet was built in 2007 and is set in a beautiful, peaceful, sunny location with fantastic south facing views. The chalet is located in a small hamlet in the sunniest part of the valley, close to the market town of Le Bourg d’Oisans.
This modern chalet is built over three floors and sits on a plot of land 1017 m2, only 2km from Le Bourg d'Oisans and all of the local amenities. The closest ski lift is located in the village of Huez, only 10 minutes drive away. However, this area is equally popular among the road cycling community, due to its association with the legendary Tour De France
cycle race and the mythical 21 bend road climb to Alpe d’Huez.
The chalet is built over three floors and was designed and built to high standards by a local architect. The ground floor level comprises a spacious garage, workshop, cellar and storage area with its own WC. An internal staircase leads us to the next level.
On the first floor we find a separate fully equipped kitchen and a voluminous open plan lounge / dining area. Patio doors lead on to the terrace and balcony that wraps round the south and east facing sides of the chalet. In one corner we find a wood burner and in the centre area, a wooden spiral staircase leads to the open mezzanine above. Also on this floor, we find the master bedroom with its own spacious ensuite bathroom with a shower and a bath. A separate WC with wash-hand basin is also located on this floor.
Climbing the spiral staircase, we arrive on the mezzanine floor looking down over the dining area and patio. Two Velux windows allow the light to flood into this his section of the house which can serve either as an office space or play area for children. From the mezzanine area we can enter the remaining two bedrooms, bathroom and WC. One of the bedrooms has its own small balcony covered and protected by the roof of the chalet. The house also has a professionally fitted alarm system and an electric gate fitted to control the entrance to the property.
Surrounding the chalet, we have a large garden that has been well cultivated and even has its own well to provide free water to irrigate the garden. There is a very practical garden shed where all of the gardening machinery and tools are kept. The wood for the wood burner is kept under the balcony, with storage space for 10m3, enough to see you through the winter months and more.

Situated only 1 hr 20 from its nearest airport, Grenoble St Geoirs, Alpe D'Huez has been appropriately named Isle de Soleil... The Island in the Sun. This purpose built resort is home to 250 kms of piste and plays host to the Tour de France cycle race as well as the famous Mega Avalanche downhill mountain bike race. Being perched at 1800 m altitude its snow record is impeccable as its pistes rise up to a formidable 3300m on the summit of Pic Blanc. It is certainly a very practical winter resort as its' centrally located leisure facilities and its cross town lifts make everywhere easily accessible.
