Apartment La Plagne - La Plagne
€230,000
- £199,985**
Ideally located in the very centre of Plagne Centre, just metres away from the chairlifts and telecabine, this cosy 36m² furnished apartment beautifully blends modern comfort with mountain living. From the moment you enter, you’re welcomed by a bright and inviting living space, perfect for relaxing after a day on the slopes.
The modern kitchen-diner and comfortable living area lead out onto the balcony which overlooks the piste.
Wake up each morning and say "Bonjour!" to Mont Blanc visible from this mountain haven.
There is a cosy double bedroom and wall mounted pull-down bunks so that families will find this an apartment to enjoy for everyone. A modern bathroom with bath is perfect for soaking tired ski legs! Its prime location means you’re perfectly placed to enjoy the resort’s shops, cafés, restaurants, and vibrant atmosphere.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This one bedroom apartment has a sought-after location in the heart of Plagne Centre. It looks out on the piste down to the Bergerie chairlift and is ski-in, ski-out but, with its view of Mont Blanc, it's on the side of the residence which doesn't get the noise from the bars and restaurants.
Cosy and practical? Yes, it's possible.
The double bedroom is a cosy, comfortable room with private lockers under the bed (ingenious) should you want to rent the apartment out but keep your skis locked away. It doesn't have a window but that should not put you off, it's got the feel of a cabin but in a ski home from home.
The owners have fitted incredibly modern pull down bunks (ask for a video) just next to the bedroom which can both be pulled down or just one and are extremely comfortable (no rickety wooden beds here). This sleeping accommodation can be closed off from the the rest of the apartment with a door so if you're having an early night or the children are ready for bed, you can still enjoy the living room without being disturbed.
Space to relax in.
The lounge-kitchen-diner is approximately 17m² and the kitchen is a great size for an apartment such as this; no need to squeeze past to get to the lounge, no little corner to try and cater for hungry skiers in. It's bright, modern and has all the amenities you need; combination oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and hob. The striking dining table comes with two chairs and two benches to make the most of the dining area and the benches tuck away to create space when you need it.
The sofa can sleep two people which makes this a 6 person apartment but the lounge area could take another sofa if you wanted to create more seating.
The highest mountain in Europe
Mont Blanc can be seen from the balcony, it's a stunning view and one that many properties in La Plagne don't have. The 7m² balcony looks over to the Mont Saint Jacques and beyond the Mont Blanc itself. If you have little skiers in the Oxygene ski school, you can "spy" on them from the balcony whilst having a morning coffee.
Come New Year's Eve, no need to walk to the fireworks on the Dou du Praz, the view from the apartment means you can sit back with your champagne and see in the New Year without having to stand in the cold.
Lock up and leave
There's huge rental potential for this apartment. It has a ski locker on the ground floor and guests will love the accessibility to the bars and restaurants through the covered gallery as well as being able to step out onto the snow without long walks with heavy ski gear.
La Plagne, part of the vast Paradiski ski area with Les Arcs, has 225km of pistes and 425km with Les Arcs included. There is skiing for every level; cruisey blues, challenging reds, top class blacks and also accessible off piste for the adventurous. High altitude glacier skiing makes this a snow sure resort and the Vanoise Express takes you across to Les Arcs in a matter of minutes to expand the pistes you can try (!) and ski each visit.
Plagne Centre provides a wonderful mix of accessible skiing for everyone, great après-ski at the end of the day and a range of activities for non-skiers (walking, snow shoeing, zip wires and skating to name but a few).
Getting to the resort couldn't be easier; regular trains stop at Aime La Plagne in the valley and Geneva and Lyon airport are a 2.5-3 hours away (depending on the time of year).
La Plagne ALL the way for the best in high altitude skiing!

Paradiski is the name of the joint La Plagne, Les Arcs, ski area linked together by the Vanoise Express cable car. Opened in December 2003,the Vanoise Express is currently the world's largest single span cable car; in fact there are two of them both capable of ferrying 200 people across the Ponthurin valley that divides the two areas. The journey and the views make for a spectacular 4-minute ride.In total Paradiski offers a HUGE 425 km of piste. Individually, La Plagne (225 km) and Les Arcs (200km) are significant ski areas in their own right and are both made up of different villages. In La Plagne the high altitude villages are Aime 2000, Plagne Centre, Belle Plagne, Plagne Bellecote, Plagne Soleil, Plagne Villages and Plagne 1800. These are all situated between 1800m and 2100m and offer snowsure high altitude ski in ski out convenience.Lower down the delightful villages of Montchavin, Les Coches, Montalbert and Champagny en Vanoise all offer the charm and cosy comfort of village life, with their own tree lined local slopes and easy access to the high altitude slopes of La Plagne. In Les Arcs the high altitude villages are Arcs 1600, Arcs 1800, Arcs 2000 and, the latest development, Arcs 1950. Again these all offer a ski in ski out experience. Great cruising runs through the trees lead to the lower villages of Plan Peisey, Vallandry and Villaroger for a more traditional mountain experience. Both La Plagne and Les Arcs offer something for everyone. Early intermediate blue and red run skiers can soon explore the area and travel around the mountain enjoying some of the good value mountain restaurants. However with two glaciers at over 3,000m, a wealth of "between the piste" and off piste and long runs through the trees, there really is something for all levels of skier - and let's not forget you boarders out there - both resorts offer a choice of snowparks with jumps, rails and the all important, music. La Plagne, Les Arcs, Paradiski - one of the world's great ski areas.
La Plagne is one of France’s largest and most popular ski resorts. It is also extremely popular with British skiers and boarders who make up around 35% of the visitors to this great resort. With some 225 km. of piste, continual upgrading of the lift facilities and slopes for all standards of skier there is something for everybody. If this is not enough for you the amazing Vanoise Express double decker gondola link to Les Arcs opens up another 200km. of slopes.
The joint La Plagne, Les Arcs, PARADISKI ski domain is one of the world’s truly great fully linked ski areas. La Plagne is not just one resort but a collection of ski villages, 6 at high altitude and 4 further down the mountain, each with their own shops, restaurants, bars and ski schools.
At high altitude the 6 villages are; Aime La Plagne (2100m),Belle Plagne(2050m),Plagne Villages/Soleil(2050m),Plagne Bellecote(1930m),Plagne Centre(1970m) and Plagne 1800(1800m). Of these the pitched roof chalet style of Belle Plagne, Plagne Villages/Soleil and Plagne 1800 are the most attractive to British eyes. However the other three are not without their fans and offer ski in ski out convenience and some great value accommodation.
The original la Plagne, Plagne Centre, is undergoing a considerable facelift and next year work begins on the indoor shopping and restaurant areas. Lower down the mountain there are more traditional villages. Les Coches at 1450 m has been purpose built in a pleasing chalet style and recent lift improvements have transformed access to the higher slopes.
Champagny en Vanoise (1250m) and, in particular, Montchavin(1250m) and Montalbert(1350m) have retained their rustic farming charm and have a strong following amongst British clients. Between them the villages of La Plagne offer something for everyone. There are wide, cruising blue slopes for the less confident or those “hot chocolate” skiers amongst you with tough blacks and a wealth of off piste for the stronger /more adventurous skier. Boarders have not been forgotten with a variety of Terrain parks on offer.
Accommodation varies from simple, great value, ski in ski out studios and apartments to luxury new build apartments and chalets.
