Perched on the heights of the peaceful alpine hamlet of Le Chatelard, just 1.5 kilometres from the heart of Saint Martin de Belleville and the world-renowned Three Valleys ski area, this magnificent 4-bedroom ski chalet captures the very essence of contemporary mountain living. Completed in 2020, it forms part of a small, exclusive collection of four chalets — each designed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, with uninterrupted views across the Belleville valley and its majestic peaks.
Set on a private plot of 588 square metres, the chalet offers over 300 square metres of refined living space across three floors. Every element has been carefully considered, from the quality of the materials to the flow of light and space, resulting in a home that feels both luxurious and effortlessly comfortable.
The entrance opens into a bright, glass-partitioned foyer with a spacious cloakroom. From here, the property unfolds into its stunning open-plan living space — a spectacular top-floor sanctuary bathed in natural light. Beneath a beautiful timber-framed ceiling, the bespoke kitchen, dining, and living areas flow seamlessly together, anchored by a grand stone fireplace that forms the heart of the home. Floor-to-ceiling cathedral windows frame uninterrupted views of the mountains, while doors open out onto a spacious south-facing terrace and a wraparound balcony on the eastern façade — the perfect setting to enjoy the serenity of the landscape from sunrise to sunset.
On the floor below, four elegant ensuite bedrooms offer privacy and comfort in equal measure. Each room is finished with high-quality fittings and bespoke cabinetry, while the magnificent master suite stands out for its generous proportions and a truly unique ensuite bathroom featuring a double shower. Throughout, the sense of craftsmanship and care in the design is unmistakable — from the choice of materials to the subtle interplay of light and texture.
The ground floor is devoted to wellness and relaxation, with a fully equipped gym, mirrored walls, and specialist flooring for training. A private sauna, hammam, and outdoor hot tub provide the ultimate après-ski indulgence, complemented by extensive terraced areas that spill gently into the landscaped garden. A technical plant room and laundry space complete the practical elements of this exceptional home.
The chalet also has access to a secure garage with an electric door, as well as additional parking on the driveway.
This newly built chalet exudes understated luxury, blending natural materials with modern sophistication to create a space that is as functional as it is beautiful. With its panoramic views, effortless connection to the outdoors, and proximity to Saint Martin de Belleville and the Three Valleys ski domain, it offers a rare opportunity to own a contemporary mountain residence in one of the Alps’ most coveted settings.
Just a short distance away lies Saint Martin de Belleville, a charming Savoyard village renowned for its authenticity and direct access to the Three Valleys — the largest interconnected ski area in the world. With over 600 kilometres of pistes linking iconic resorts such as Courchevel, Méribel, and Val Thorens, the possibilities for winter sport and adventure are endless. The village itself offers a welcoming atmosphere year-round, with gourmet restaurants, cosy après-ski spots, artisanal shops, and a rich cultural heritage that celebrates true alpine living.
Accessibility is remarkably easy for such a tranquil setting. Saint Martin de Belleville is around 25 minutes from Moûtiers train station, which provides high-speed TGV and Eurostar connections from Paris and London. The nearest airports — Chambéry, Geneva, and Lyon — are all within two to two and a half hours’ drive, making weekend escapes and seasonal visits effortless.
With its peaceful position in Le Chatelard, sweeping views, and proximity to both village life and the vast Three Valleys ski domain, this exceptional chalet represents a rare opportunity to own a newly built mountain residence that perfectly blends style, comfort, and convenience — the ideal alpine retreat for all seasons.

A beautiful place all year with highly defined seasons and quiet and tranquil out of the ski season when the crowds have gone home, and then suddenly once again each winter the mountains of the Three Valleys come alive with people enjoying this vast ski area... The largest linked skiing in the world. The Three Valleys ski domain provides more than 600km of runs and probably the same again off-piste. In fact it should now be called the Four Valleys with the link into Orelle (Maurienne Valley) which can be accessed by ski from Val Thorens. This has also opened up some extraordinary off-piste runs. The Three Valleys provides direct links between the ski resorts of St Martin de Belleville, Les Menuires, Val Thorens, Méribel, Mottaret, La Tania, Brides les Bains and the four Courchevel resorts, la Praz, 1550, 1650 and the world famous 1850 - and now Orelle, in the fourth valley - all under one ski pass offering on-piste skiing from 1300m all the way up to 3200m. As these figures show the Three Valleys ski area offers huge altitude differences favouring long run skiing. It has an ultra efficient, state of the art ski lift system, quality piste preparation and a dense artificial snow making system (1920 snow cannons) complementing the excellent natural snow cover. However, if you are not a fan of downhill skiing or like some variety during your stay then you can also roam the domain at your leisure on foot, hiking along the marked trails, or using the pedestrian ski lift passes. Many trails have been created especially to enjoy the increasingly popular snowshoeing sport and to discover the valleys from a new perspective: flora, wildlife, monuments, and spectacular scenery. There are also many cross-country skiing tracks that are prepared and maintained each day. These allow you to take in the breathtaking scenery and provide the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the mountains away from the pistes. An interesting and wonderful area all year round, there is much more here than the snow sports.
Based at 1400m and directly linked into the vast Three Valleys network by an 8 person gondola, St Martin de Belleville offers unlimited, world-class skiing.
The village is picture perfect, unspoiled and authentic making St Martin de Belleville the perfect ski resort if you are looking for a taste of authentic France combined with state of the art skiing. Clusters of traditional chalets and original Savoyard farmhouses are dominated by the close mountains with chamois and wild boars roaming free in the surrounding forests. St Martin was voted a “Top Ten Picture Postcard resort” for its pretty, traditional architecture and stunning Alpine scenery, it’s interesting to note that the commune have had the foresight to bury all the electric and phone cabling which means that not only does it have a clean uncluttered look, but you are unlikely to lose power when the snow hits!
As an added bonus Val Thorens, officially the highest resort in Europe is situated at the top of the valley offering great skiing from mid-November to mid-May. St Martin also has some of the best and clearest runs in the Three Valleys; with skiing for all levels back down to the village and red run Jerusalem a firm favourite with many, and the confidence inspiring off-piste powder fields have to be experienced to be believed. In the height of summer during July and August the valley is host to walkers, nature lovers and adventure seekers who arrive to enjoy the traditional and less traditional mountain activities along with the colourful mountain meadows and beauty of the contrasting vibrant green against snow capped mountains.
It is also a near neighbour to the Vanoise Park, a protected area of outstanding natural beauty. St Martin de Belleville has a lower key nightlife than its glitzy neighbours. Having said that, the valley boasts two Michelin starred restaurants, one being situated three minutes from the village, the other in Val Thorens. St Martin itself has several friendly bars and restaurants which retain a mountain village atmosphere with prices to match. This ski resort seems ideal for ski and mountain lovers looking for an authentic atmosphere a little apart from the crowds, and out of season it still has life and enough year round residents to stop it feeling like a ghost town.
